King's Daughters Interviews Miss PattyCake!
A few years ago, we took the King's Daughters Regal Lifestyle Collection to the Mothers of Preschoolers Conferences (aka MOPS). During the conference, we had the absolute JOY of making a new near and dear friend, Jean Thomason, the incredible woman behind the beloved Christian children's character, Miss Pattycake. Jean's website describes her best:
Jean Thomason has been saying “Yes to the Dress” for 20 years! In her signature green jumper with a big red heart and two hands, “Miss PattyCake” has won the attention and hearts of hundreds of thousands of toddlers, preschoolers, and their parents through DVDs, CDs, books, and high-energy live performances. Her message is simple, "God made me, God loves me, YAY GOD!" (credit: www.misspattycake.com)
Jean has been a HUGE encouragement to us as a friend, prayer warrior, connector for King's Daughters, and worshipper. I confidently believe that when Jean gets to heaven, God will reveal to her how Miss Pattycake made an eternal, lifelong difference in the lives and faith of countless children all over the world.
Just in time for Mother's Day, we were able to sit down with Jean and hear about her heart for kids AND her new book for moms, grandmothers, caregivers, and teachers: P.E.P. TALKS (a CAN DO guide for sharing God’s BIG LOVE with little lives). We had the joy of prayerfully helping her frame the book during its conception and are so proud of her dedication and hard work to see it through to completion. This is a MUST READ book!
